The North Carolina State Fair is an annual event that brings together people from all over the state to celebrate agriculture, education, entertainment, and delicious treats. The fair dates back to 1853 and has grown to become the largest annual event in North Carolina. It offers a variety of attractions, including carnival rides, agricultural competitions, educational exhibitions, and live music. There are also dozens of breweries, wineries, cider houses, and craft soda makers from all over the North Carolina with a variety of beverage styles.
To ensure the safety of fairgoers, organizers have implemented several changes this year. For the first time, there will be a transparent baggage policy. Bags of any size will be allowed as long as they are clear, with the exception of wristbands, diaper bags, and medical equipment bags which will be inspected before entry. Free parking is available at State Fair, Carter-Finley Football Stadium and PNC Arena properties.
RVs are not allowed to stay in parking spaces managed by the State Fair between the hours of midnight and 8 a.m. The North Carolina State Fair also encourages anyone who attends the event and is not vaccinated to get tested for COVID-19 three to five days after attending the fair. Public House will move to a new location in the lobby of the South Dorton Arena and offer local beers, wines, ciders and soft drinks. You can buy tickets for two servings of wine, cider or beer.
Servings of wine are 3 ounces each, and beer or cider servings are 8 ounces each. The North Carolina State Fair has implemented inclusion programs and policies so that everyone can enjoy the fun on offer.
